Young Adulthood:
Young adulthood is defined as that period in one's life where true independence is first established. It is characterized by self-directed choices regarding adult life styles, living arrangements, early career choices, and quality of intimate relationships. Facing these decisions can be affirming and exciting, but they can also be confusing and frightening. As the prior Director of Counseling Services at the University of Missouri - St. Louis, Dr. Marwit is familiar with the issues and requirements of this stage of life and has devoted a significant portion of his professional career to helping young adults reach positive decisions.
